A collection of contemporary Burmese lacquer designed by Veronica Gritsenko (Black Elephant) and produced by artisans in Pagan, Burma to ancient recipes and traditional techniques:

Bago bowls 'Cranes in Summer' & 'Cranes in Winter'. Lacquer on 200 year-old Acacia burr; engraved with inlaid pigments (Cinnabar, Orpiment and Indigo). 10 x 18 cm

'Leleki' (cranes) tray. Lacquer on teak wood. 23 x 30 cm
